Installation
Installation of electric blinds and
curtains should be simple, given enough planning and thought. Generally
we would recommend every window in a new build or renovation be wired
with 4-core 0.75 flex cable exiting at a standard back-box to close to
the upper right hand corner of the window to allow connection for blinds
that sit 'outside-reveal'.
For blinds that are located inside the reveal
the cable should be looped back out of the back-box through the plaster
to exit at the top right-hand corner of the window. This will allow the
cable to be hidden behind the blind.
Installing For Direct Connection
For home automation systems that can
operate our blinds directly you should wire 0.75mm 4-core flex for each
required motor point back to your control panels
Installing For Blindtronics Linked To
Other Home Automation.
For blindtronics you should wire 0.75mm
4-core flex for each required motor point back to the location of the
Blindtronics Control Panel. CAT5 cable should also be run from your home
automation system to the location of the Blindtronics Control Panel to
allow control of the blindtronics panel via RS232.
Installing For Blindtronics Operating On
It's Own
For blindtronics you should wire 0.75mm
4-core flex for each required motor point back to the location of the
Blindtronics Control Panel. CAT5 cable should also be run from each room
back to the control panel to facilitate installation of IR eyes for
remote control operation or alongside existing wall switches to allow
installation of our wall control pads.
