Introduction to
Blindtronics Automation System
Blindtronics is a system specifically
designed to automate blinds, curtains, awnings and canopies. With highly
programmable control modules.
If your considering anything more than 2 or 3
electric blinds in your development and you either have no method of
integrated control or your existing bus system is not flexible enough
for the control of blinds then you need look no further than
Blindtronics.
Blindtronics is an advanced blind control network
with features not found in normal home automation systems. Blind control
on other systems is normally an afterthought and as such only allows
limited control. Often we find so called blind control to be as simple
as fully open, or fully closed! Blindtronics is different because it's
designed to control blinds but also allows connection to your existing
systems if you have them.
A number of smart home systems can automate blinds & curtains but have been developed as an after-thought to work with only their own (often expensive) sensors; with limited parameters for response and from a need to make the overall product marketable rather than designed for true functionality and to be installer friendly.
We have a wide range motor controls for 12/24v DC and 240v
mains motors, along with wall-mounted controls, IR & RF handsets, wind
& sun sensors and LCD touch panels.
Each blind module is linked together into a
network,
each module can be programmed to operate from discrete channels, into groups
and/or subgroups so you can have individual, room-by-room or even whole house
control from a single button. The modules can also have
programmed intermediate stops to allow a simple button press to
set all the blinds in a group to close or open to four preset positions.
More advanced features include sun & wind sensors, lock-out control (to
prevent a blind closing when a window is open etc).
Blindtronics is not limited to controlling our
blinds, indeed our control modules can operate most electric motors like
those used in window openers, awnings, roller shutter doors etc.
Control of your blinds would normally be via an IR
or RF handset and installation of wall controls, we have options from
basic push button panels to custom designed touch pads or we can even use
your own switches.
Our 8" LCD colour touch
screen allows the most flexible control over the controls with a GUI.
Optional RS232 modules and Timers can also be used when you have other automation
systems that need control over the operation of blinds and
curtains. Now your able to integrate your blinds into the rest of your
smart home!
Because Blindtronics can accept so
many different types of input control this allows you to build sophisticated
systems that integrate into heating, lighting, alarm and
audio/visual equipment.
